하카타 기온 마치야 향토관 — 살아 있는 상가 저택
하카타 마치야 향토관은 역사적인 기온 지구에 있는 20세기 초 상가(마치야) 세 채를 복원해 자리한다. 건물들은 이곳으로 옮겨져 노출 목조 뼈대, 흙벽, 미닫이 후스마 등 원래의 자재로 정성껏 재건되어, 한 세기 전 하카타 상인 계층이 어떻게 살고 일했는지를 보여준다. 향토관의 특기는 하카타 오리모노(직물) 전통이다 — 지금도 최고급 기모노 띠에 쓰이는 하카타오리 비단 직조 기법을, 복원된 수직기 위에서 상주 직조인이 실연한다.
