This map plots every published spot on the site at its actual coordinates, pulled from the same catalogue that powers the prefecture pages, category pages and search — nothing here is a separate, hand-curated subset. Pins cluster automatically as you zoom out so that dense areas like central Tokyo or Kyoto don't collapse into an unreadable pile of overlapping markers, and expand back into individual spots as you zoom in or click a cluster.
Use the filters to narrow by category, region, prefecture, or whether a spot is free or Premium — the count in each dropdown updates as you combine filters, the same way the /spots list does, so you can see how many pins a combination actually leaves before committing to it. The current-location button centers the map on where you are, which is the fastest way to see what's actually nearby rather than scrolling to find it. Clicking any pin opens a short preview with a link through to that spot's full page — hours, fees, access notes and, where a Premium account is active, the deeper insider details.
