金閣禅寺世界遺産紅葉北区

金閣寺（鹿苑寺）は純金箔に覆われた三層の禅寺で、周囲を巡る鏡湖池に完璧に映り込む。1397年に将軍・足利義満の隠居の別荘として建てられ、その死後に禅寺となった。現在の建物は、1950年に僧により焼失した後の1955年再建だ。

各層は異なる建築様式を表す — 一層は寝殿造（貴族の邸宅）、二層は武家造、三層は禅宗様。池に映る金の姿は京都で最も撮影される光景をなす。

Why our Kinkaku-ji page is short

There is nothing we can tell you about the Golden Pavilion that the temple, every guidebook and several thousand blog posts have not already told you better. So this page does not try. What it does instead is treat Kinkaku-ji as a fixed point on a map: you are going, the visit is short, the route is one-way, and the useful question is what you do with the rest of the day you are already spending in north-west Kyoto.

Planning around the crowd

Its own posted hours are 9:00 to 17:00. That gives you exactly two windows you can plan from published information rather than from luck: be at the entrance for 9:00, or come late enough that 17:00 is your deadline. It lists 30〜45分（一方通行の庭の道） as a typical visit, so the first slot is long enough to finish before the middle of the day. Everything between those two depends on the day, and we would be making it up if we told you otherwise.

混雑回避のコツ

団体が集中する週末10:00〜15:00は避けたい。桜（4月上旬）と紅葉（11月）は平常の三倍。冬の雪の日は撮影者が集まるが絶景の価値あり。平日朝（9:00〜10:00）が最適。

駐車場情報

駐車場は限られ1時間300円（週末は早く満車）。近隣コインパーキングあり。主要バス路線上なのでバスを強く推奨。

**撮影の時間帯:** 金閣は南東向きで、午前（9:00〜11:00）が撮影に最適 — 日光が金箔を照らし、風で池が波立つ前が映り込みが最も澄む。午後の光は逆光のシルエットになる。冬の雪景色（1〜2月）は圧巻だが人出は三倍。開門9:00に着けば人が少ない。 **順路の戦略:** 境内は一方通行 — 総門から入り、指定の場所から金閣を望み（柵で近づけない）、茶室を過ぎる庭の道を辿って出る。入ってすぐの場所が定番の映り込み写真。二つ目の高台からは別角度で撮れる。 **金箔の細部:** 金閣は五層の金箔（総重量20kg）に覆われる。1987年に貼り替えられ、史実の元の姿より明るい。屋根上の鳳凰は金めっきの青銅。金閣内部には入れず、外観のみの拝観だ。
