Yufuin Floral Village

Yufuin Floral Village is a small commercial development designed to replicate a Cotswolds village — stone-paved lanes, half-timbered buildings, flower boxes, and shops selling European imports. The development also includes owl and cat cafés, a Peter Rabbit themed shop, and a miniature antique store. The aesthetic is deliberately non-Japanese and attracts domestic tourists seeking European atmosphere without traveling to Europe.
The village's polarizing reputation — derided by some as inauthentic, embraced by others as charming fantasy — makes it Yufuin's most controversial attraction.
