博多町家乡土馆由祇园历史街区三栋20世纪初复原的町家(商人町屋)组成。这些建筑被迁移至此,以原始材料——外露的木构架、土墙、拉门袄——精心重建,展现一个世纪前博多商人阶层如何生活与工作。乡土馆的招牌是博多织传统:那种织出博多织布料、至今仍用于最高级和服腰带的绢织技法,由驻馆职人在复原的手织机上现场示范。
