**Orca show timing:** The Shamu Stadium orca performance (30 min) occurs 3-4 times daily (schedule varies seasonally). Arrive 30 minutes early for front-row 'splash zone' seats — the orcas intentionally create waves that drench the first 10 rows. The show demonstrates the animals' intelligence, power, and relationship with trainers — controversial globally but Japan maintains the program. **Behind-the-scenes tour:** The 'Animal Discovery Tour' (¥3,000, advance reservation required) takes visitors backstage to see food preparation, training sessions, and veterinary facilities. The tour includes feeding sea lions and touching a dolphin under trainer supervision. Limited to 10 people per session. **Night aquarium:** Summer (July–August) weekends feature evening openings until 20:00 with special lighting in the tanks.
