Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (海遊館) is one of the world's largest aquariums, featuring a massive 5,400-ton Pacific Ocean tank housing whale sharks (the world's largest fish), manta rays, and schools of tuna. The aquarium's design follows a spiral path descending from 8F to 4F around the central Pacific tank — visitors view the same tank from multiple depths, observing different species at each level.
The aquarium showcases 15 tanks representing the Pacific Rim ecosystem (Japan Forest, Antarctica, Tasman Sea, etc.) with 30,000+ sea creatures including sea otters, penguins, jellyfish, and giant crabs. The immersive design and massive tank scale create world-class marine viewing experience.
