Universal Studios Japan (USJ, ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン) is Osaka's most popular tourist attraction with 14+ million annual visitors. The park features movie-themed rides (Harry Potter, Super Mario, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man), seasonal events (Halloween Horror Nights, Christmas), and Japan-exclusive attractions (anime collaborations with Attack on Titan, One Piece, Evangelion). The Wizarding World of Harry Potter area is meticulously detailed replica of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts.
USJ is smaller than Orlando's Universal Studios but offers superior operational efficiency (Japanese service standards) and unique attractions unavailable elsewhere. The park caters heavily to Japanese tastes — kawaii character goods, seasonal limited-time food, and collaborations with popular anime. International visitors appreciate the blend of familiar Universal properties and Japan-specific experiences.
