竹下通是原宿一条350公尺长的行人步道,两旁林立贩售卡哇伊(可爱)时尚、角色商品、可丽饼与流行文化周边的店家。这条街是日本年轻人时尚次文化的震央——哥德萝莉、decora、fairy kei与街头潮流——霓虹招牌、吉祥物角色与糖果色店面带来的视觉轰炸,正是原宿极繁美学的缩影。周末的cosplay玩家、街头表演者与成群青少年,营造出嘉年华般的氛围。
这条街以WEGO(古着与街头时尚)、大创(¥100商店)与Marion可丽饼(1976年至今的原宿元祖可丽饼摊)为支柱。可丽饼——薄饼包入鲜奶油、水果、巧克力与冰淇淋、折成甜筒状——是原宿的招牌小吃。竹下通的感官混乱令人招架不住,却是最道地的东京年轻文化。
