The only national government park in Shikoku, laid out across 350 hectares of hill country beside Mannoike reservoir. It is not a nature reserve but a designed landscape: flower fields planted by season, a restored satoyama woodland with its own ecology zone, a large playground, cycling routes, an auto camping ground and a dragon-themed water play area.

More than half a million people come every year, most of them families from across Shikoku, which makes it one of the few places in Kagawa where the visitors are not there for udon or art. Admission is ¥450 for adults with a ¥260 parking charge, it closes on Tuesdays for most of the year but opens daily through the busy seasons, and the hours change five times across the calendar.

**The hours change five times a year.** And the Tuesday closure is suspended for three long stretches. Check the calendar for your date rather than assuming. **It is 350 hectares.** Walking the whole thing is not realistic. Cycle hire and the internal shuttle exist for that reason. **Flowers are the draw.** Planted by season across large fields — the park publishes what is out, and going without checking risks arriving between plantings. **Parking is charged separately.** ¥260 on top of the ¥450 admission. Budget for both. **Auto camping on site.** Which makes this a base for the whole inland part of the prefecture rather than a day stop.
