Zentsuji Temple holds profound significance as the birthplace of Kobo Daishi, the revered monk who founded Shingon Buddhism and established the 88-temple pilgrimage circuit around Shikoku Island. As Temple Number 75 of the sacred pilgrimage, Zentsuji attracts both devout pilgrims and cultural visitors seeking to understand Japanese Buddhist heritage.
