呼子是位於東松浦半島最北端的迷你漁港,須從唐津開車前往,其存在的主要意義是供應日本最頂級的活烏賊。呼子朝市自1900年起每日營業:一條200公尺長的頂棚街道,攤商販售當夜捕撈的活烏賊、當地蔬菜、海藻與乾貨海鮮,時間為早上7:00至中午12:00左右。烏賊被養在海水槽中保持鮮活,點餐後幾秒鐘內現場處理——魚肉透明、甘甜,口感與餐廳版本截然不同。
