The sardine school swarms in unison, creating silver waves — best viewed from the tunnel section. **Godzilla Rock optimal timing:** Godzilla Rock's resemblance to the monster is strongest at sunset (16:00-18:00 depending on season) when the silhouette is backlit. The rock is directly visible from the aquarium parking lot — no hike required. The formation includes a spiky dorsal-fin ridge, snout, and open mouth, though imagination enhances the resemblance. **Combined Oga itinerary:** Pair the aquarium with Namahage Museum (20 minutes away) and Cape Nyudo (男鹿半島入道崎, 30 minutes away) for a full-day Oga Peninsula circuit.
