This page answers a narrower question than it might look like at first: not "what's worth seeing in Japan" but "what is worth seeing right now, or soon, because of the season." Every window listed here — a cherry-blossom peak, a fireworks night, a snow-monster forest coated in rime ice — comes from the same prose already written on each spot's own page (its best-season note, its opening hours), parsed into a start and end date rather than typed in separately. That matters because it means a window can only appear here if it is actually documented somewhere a reader could go check it, and it disappears automatically the day that source stops supporting it.

Most of these dates are typical ranges rather than fixed appointments — "early April" moves with the weather each year the way any real bloom does — so windows built from vague phrasing are marked approximate and never shown counting down to a specific day; only precisely dated windows get a countdown. This is deliberately a different tool from the festival calendar: that page tracks events happening on a date, this one tracks how a landscape looks. A spot can appear on both — a snow festival is both an event and a reason the surrounding scenery is worth the trip that week.
