清水寺(「清水之寺」)是列入世界遗产的寺院,以悬挑于山坡之上13公尺、完全不用钉子、以传统榫接工法建成的木造舞台(清水舞台)闻名。舞台可眺望京都东侧群山,春秋两季更可俯瞰满眼的樱花与枫叶。
寺院始建于西元778年,早于京都成为日本首都之前。寺院山脚的音羽瀑布被视为神圣——游客可饮三道水流之一,据说分别能保佑长寿、学业有成或姻缘美满(只能择一,贪心则反招不祥)。

最佳游览时段
开门时刻(夏季6:00、冬季6:30)可在旅行团8:00涌入前独享清静。午后(16:00–18:00)人潮渐散。点灯期间别具风情但较拥挤。
避开人潮的诀窍
每年500万人参拜。避开10:00–15:00旅行团高峰。樱花季(4月初)与赏枫季(11月)人潮极多——请开门即到。平日早上比周末少五成人。清水坂上坡于正午最为壅塞。
停车信息
寺院附近停车极少。京都市营停车场:每日¥800–1,000(容量小、很快客满)。参道陡窄不宜停车,建议搭公车。
