川平灣是石垣島最具代表性的絕景——一片點綴著森林小島的淺淺翡翠海灣，海水隨陽光、潮汐與季節變換出七種藍。海灣列為國家名勝，禁止游泳，但可搭玻璃船滑過清澈海水下的珊瑚花園。
海灣之美源於獨特的地形：白珊瑚沙底、極少的河水注入（保持水質清澈），以及外圍小島擋去外海。灣內平靜的水域養殖著當地黑珍珠，珍珠養殖場提供導覽，展示從植核到採收的過程。
