El Camino del Filósofo es un sendero empedrado de 2 km que sigue un canal flanqueado por cerezos entre Ginkaku-ji y Nanzen-ji. Su nombre honra al filósofo Nishida Kitaro, que meditaba aquí durante su paseo diario. En primavera, los cerezos forman un túnel de pétalos sobre el agua; en otoño, los arces tiñen el camino de rojo.
