Tennoji Zoo (天王寺動物園) opened in 1915 as Japan's third zoo, housing 1,000+ animals from 180+ species on 11 hectares. Combine with Tennoji Park: The zoo is within Tennoji Park (24 hectares) which includes Keitakuen Garden (historic Japanese garden, ¥150 separate entry), Shitennoji Temple nearby, and Abeno Harukas (Japan's tallest building, 300m observation deck ¥1,800).
