Yobuko es un pequeño puerto pesquero famoso por su calamar fresco. El mercado matinal se extiende a lo largo de 200 metros con puestos que venden marisco y calamar vivo que se prepara como sashimi al momento: tan fresco que las ventosas aún se mueven.
