Parc du Mémorial de la Paix d'Hiroshima

Le Parc de la Paix occupe l'épicentre de l'explosion atomique du 6 août 1945. Le Cénotaphe encadre le Dôme de Genbaku et la Flamme de la Paix, qui brûlera jusqu'à la disparition des armes nucléaires. Le Musée de la Paix documente par des témoignages et des objets les effets de la bombe.

Train: Take JR Sanyo Shinkansen to Hiroshima Station. From station, take Tram #2 or #6 to Genbaku Dome-mae stop (10 min, ¥220). Or walk 15 minutes south through downtown. Bus: Multiple city buses from Hiroshima Station stop near the park. Taxi: 10 min from Hiroshima Station (¥1,000-1,500).

Weekday mornings (8:30-10:00 AM) before school groups arrive. Thursday afternoons are quietest. Avoid May-June and October-November (peak school trip season).

Tuesday and Wednesday mornings see fewest crowds at museum. If you see 3+ school buses parked outside, wait 45-60 minutes or visit other park monuments first. August 6 (Peace Memorial Ceremony) draws 50,000+ people - arrive by 6:00 AM for ceremony access. Book accommodation 6 months ahead for August 6.
