Torii de Kamiiso

Le torii du sanctuaire Oarai Isosaki se dresse sur un rocher dans l'océan Pacifique. À l'aube, le soleil se lève juste derrière la porte, la nimbant de lumière dorée. C'est l'un des levers de soleil les plus photographiés de la région de Kanto. Aux équinoxes, le soleil s'aligne parfaitement avec le torii.

Train: JR Joban Line Limited Express from Ueno to Mito (~75 min, ¥2,270), then Kashima Rinkai Railway to Oarai Station (~25 min, ¥540). Taxi or bicycle to torii (3 km). Bus: Highway bus from Tokyo Station to Oarai (occasional service, ~2 hrs). Car: Via Joban Expressway to Mito-Kita IC, then ~30 min on Route 51 to Oarai. Free parking near Isosaki Shrine (30 cars).
Meilleur moment pour visiter
Sunrise during the equinox alignment windows (March 18–25 and September 12–20). Arrive 30 min before sunrise for photography position. Low-tide sunrise on alignment days is ideal.
Conseils pour éviter la foule
On alignment days (sunrise through torii gate), 20–30 photographers gather — arrive 30 min early to claim a spot on the concrete platform. Non-alignment days are nearly deserted. Oarai Fish Market draws morning crowds but they rarely visit the torii.

Small free parking area near Oarai Isosaki Shrine (30 spaces). For fish market/aquarium combination trips, use the larger Oarai Seaside Park lot (¥500/day, 200+ spaces, 10-min walk).
