Chaque printemps, 4,5 millions de némophiles recouvrent la colline Miharashi du parc Hitachi Seaside, créant un tapis bleu ciel qui se fond avec l'horizon. En automne, la même colline se pare de kochia rouge carmin. Le parc comprend également une roseraie et une forêt de pins en bord de mer.
