The Botchan Ressha is a restored vintage steam locomotive (actually diesel-powered replica) operating as a tourist tram line through central Matsuyama. The train is named after Natsume Soseki's 1906 novel Botchan, which features the protagonist riding Matsuyama's original steam tram.
The 30-minute round-trip route connects Matsuyama City Station, Okaido shopping district, and Dogo Onsen, providing both transportation and sightseeing experience.
