函館朝市是一座逾250家攤商的迷宮,販售北海道的海洋收穫——活帝王蟹、海膽、鮭魚卵、干貝、花枝與昆布。市場自1945年營業,最初服務漁夫與主婦,如今是遊客尋找日本最新鮮海產的必訪之地。氣氛熱鬧、香氣四溢、令人食指大動——攤商吆喝、鍋爐冒著蒸氣、活蟹在水槽裡揮舞著螯。
市場的招牌是海膽鮭魚卵海鮮丼——白飯鋪上鮭魚卵與海膽,常再加蟹肉、干貝與花枝生魚片。市場內的餐廳用幾公尺外剛買的海產現點現做。函館現撈海膽與東京放了兩天的海膽,鮮度差異極為明顯。
營業時間
6:00–14:00(各攤不一)。海鮮丼店7:00開。
公休: 全年營業。部分攤商偶爾週日休。

入場免費。海鮮丼¥1,500–4,000。現釣花枝¥1,000–1,500。
