黑門市場是一條580公尺的有頂棚商店街，逾150家攤商販售生猛海鮮、神戶牛、時令水果與熟食。市場服務大阪餐飲業已200年，如今雖偏觀光，仍是一座專業廚師與遊客並肩採買的實用批發市場。
轉型為觀光地意味著價格上漲（部分商品為平時的2–3倍），但也更為親切——許多攤位如今提供站著吃的櫃檯、英文菜單與即食份量。道地與便利之間的取捨，就寫在攤商於批發客戶（上午進貨）與觀光人潮（正午至午後）之間的平衡裡。
