Shikairoo abrió en 1899 y es la cuna del chanpon, el plato más representativo de Nagasaki: fideos gruesos en caldo espeso de hueso de cerdo con marisco, verduras y brotes. Creado para alimentar a los estudiantes chinos de forma económica, se convirtió en la identidad culinaria de la ciudad.
