**Underwater tunnel timing:** The tunnel is most impressive when feeding occurs (11:30 and 15:30 daily) — divers hand-feed fish inside the tank, creating concentrated fish activity directly overhead. The yellowtail (buri) swarm en masse, creating a silver tornado effect. Arrive 10 minutes before feeding for best viewing position (center of tunnel). Photography through acrylic is challenging (reflections and distortion) — turn off flash, get close to acrylic to minimize reflections, and use portrait mode to blur foreground scratches. This 160km loop takes 6–7 hours with stops and showcases Noto's diversity — marine life, crafts, agriculture, and coastal scenery. Rental car from Kanazawa is essential (¥6,000–8,000 per day); buses are infrequent and limit flexibility.
