御祓町是一條長800公尺的步行街,兩旁林立江戶風格的木造建築,連接伊勢神宮內宮與市中心。這條街重現了幾世紀前伊勢參拜路線的氛圍,當年正值「御蔭參り」大規模朝聖潮,數百萬日本人前來參拜伊勢神宮。今日街上聚集逾百間店鋪,販售地方特產:赤福餅(紅豆麻糬,1707年起就是伊勢的招牌甜點)、伊勢烏龍麵(濃醬油湯底的粗麵)、柴魚製品與祭祀用品。
おかげ橫丁從御祓町分岔而出——一條較小的巷弄,重現明治時代村落風貌,有傳統建築、街頭表演與工匠工坊。這個街區將真實的歷史氛圍與商業活力結合,是認識日本傳統市街設計與伊勢參拜文化的絕佳入門。
