Kawaguchiko es el más accesible de los Cinco Lagos del Fuji y el que ofrece el reflejo más fotogénico del volcán sobre sus aguas, especialmente al amanecer en días sin viento. La orilla norte es la mejor para la vista, y un paseo en bicicleta alrededor del lago (unos 20 km) permite descubrir santuarios, museos, onsen con vistas al Fuji y campos de lavanda en verano.
