博多町家鄉土館由祇園歷史街區三棟20世紀初復原的町家(商人町屋)組成。這些建築被遷移至此,以原始材料——外露的木構架、土牆、拉門襖——精心重建,展現一個世紀前博多商人階層如何生活與工作。鄉土館的招牌是博多織傳統:那種織出博多織布料、至今仍用於最高級和服腰帶的絹織技法,由駐館職人在復原的手織機上現場示範。
